The Good Life Festival
If you haven't heard about the Good Life Festival yet, then thank goodness you've come to this page!On May 4th, experience "the good life" with UC-San Diego's Well-Being services and the Zone. From 5-9pm, come to Matthews Quad and the Towne Square to experience all the joys of a massive street festival. The crew here at Recreation is particularly excited about the human hamster balls (yep, you heard that right) and the beer-goggle kart races.
In addition to silly activities like hamster balls and go-karts, the festival will also offer henna tattoos and chair massages if you'd like to enjoy a more leisurely evening. Free food, cold drinks, and good prizes will be plentiful, and our DJ is guaranteed to be downright awesome. In case you need to take out some pent-up aggression, there will be an inflatable jousting activity, or if you prefer a more relaxed de-stresser, check out the public art wall and exercise your creativity! So come out and enjoy the good life with all of us here from UCSD Recreation, and capture your memories with our fun photo booth. We will personally be giving out cliff bars and other treats to ensure that you're well-nourished during your evening of fun, friends, and free smiles.

Get Back At It - High Fives Fundraiser
Get Back At It – Outback’s biggest event this quarter, without a doubt – will be happening on Thursday, November 10 from 4 to 11 pm in the Price Center theatre and patio area.
Get Back At It is a fundraiser for the High Fives Foundation – a foundation that gets critically injured extreme-sports athletes back up and doing what they love after their injuries. Outback Adventure’s own Randy Ewing, a survivor of a traumatic head injury he incurred while skiing, has been the main person in charge for putting this event together and wants to see as many people as possible come to support High Fives and the event as a whole.
In addition to being a fundraiser, this event will feature two film screenings: The Art of Flight and Retallack. Both of these amazing snow-sport movies are definitely worth coming to the fundraiser for, even if you aren’t just interested in seeing Randy.
There will be tons of free swag, raffles, and appearances by famous snow-sport athletes at Get Back At It. Hope to see you there!
