Great news for all of the UCSD archers who populate the nooks and crannies on campus; the new archery range is up and running. Located in the same spot as a couple of years ago, on the east side of campus, the new range has had a considerable facelift and now sits on top of an underground parking structure and is carpeted with an all-weather turf. With 16 shooting stations set up, the range will be able to accommodate the needs of our UCSD archery community. Drop by and have a look. It’s off of Campus Point Dr. on the way to Thornton Hospital, just south of the Challenge (ropes) Course. With such a fine facility in place there will be an archery curriculum of greater breadth offered as well as the development of a collegiate competitive team. Listed below are the courses currently being offered:
Mondays 4:15-5:15 p.m. Beginning Kids
Mondays 5:15-6:15 p.m. Beginning Adults
Mondays 6:15-7:15 p.m. Archery Fun and Games
Tuesdays 5:30-7:00 p.m. Traditional Archery Open Workout
Wednesdays 4:15-5:15 p.m. Beginning Adults
Wednesdays 5:15-6:15 p.m. Competitve 1 and 2
Wednesdays 6:15-7:15 p.m. Coached Open Workout
Thursdays 5:30-7:00 p.m. Traditional Archery Open Workout
Saturdays 11a.m.-2 p.m. Competitive Workout/ Workshops
Sundays 10a.m.-12n Traditional Archery Open Workout
